HSM triggered alarm in middle of the night, hub froze

My wife let the dog out in the middle of the night last night, and HSM apparently didn't take her code, or she went too fast or whatever, anyway, alarm went off, I got up hearing her fussing and knew what was going on so I went to disarm and it wasn't doing anything. No response whatsoever from the hub. I forced a power cycle by switching off the surge supressor it is plugged into, and then back on. It came back up, wanted a firmware update, another reboot (yay fun at 3 A.M. on a work night), and finally came back up, but now my heaven sent Hampton Bay ceiling fan controller in the kitchen is unresponsive again.

I swapped out the Ikea Tradfri Wireless Control Outlet for an Iris V3 smart plug in the kitchen just in case it was a smart plug issue.

I have now powered off the hub and am waiting 15 minutes or so before powering it back on to force it to reestablish the Zigbee mesh.

The possibility of the bulbs being the problem is there. However my budget and current house wiring configuraiton won't allow me to completely upgrade the lighting to Zwave plus dimmers with dumb bulbs.
