So I just got slapped by someone who works on this site for not posting a question in the right place. I had literally gone to the driver page and held space bar paging down for like five minutes and never got to the bottom of it….I even admitted I was posting in the wrong place because of that… So my simple question how do you get to the very end of a topic?
Is there a single key stroke?
Control page down didn’t work…i’m sure it is simple. I just don’t know. Thank you.
This is really a Discord question, not a Hubitat site question, so the Discord tutorial might explain this.
There may be better ways to do it, but I will tell you how I do it.
In the lower right corner of the thread you will see two sets of numbers, e.g., 1234/5678 (if the entire thread cannot be shown on the current page).
The first number is the post number where you are in the thread; the second number is the number of posts in the thread
If you click (or tap, if you are using a mobile device) that set of numbers, a field appears in the lower left corner asking “Jump to:”. I just type a big number in the field (such as 9999, or anything bigger than the number of posts in the thread) and hit return. You will jump to the end of the thread.
Hope this helps. Shame on whoever slapped you down for posting in the wrong place. There are no stupid questions. This forum is usually much nicer than that to newcomers.

Thank you for bringing this up. You're not the first person to mention that navigating the community can sometimes be confusing, especially if you're new to Discourse. It does become much more intuitive once you've used it for a while, but we recognize there is still room for improvement.
Regarding your other post, the community is moderated by volunteers. They are fellow Hubitat users who generously donate their time to help keep the community organized and assist other members.
Because there can be multiple community drivers for the same product, it would be helpful if you could include a link to the specific driver's thread you're referring to. That makes it much easier for a moderator or another community member to move your post to the appropriate discussion.
Without that information, it's difficult for anyone else to know which thread you're referring to.
I answered @ts1234 in a direct message because you closed the thread. I've seen lots of comments to those types of posts about "you will get a better response if you post on the driver release page" but generally I don't see those just outright closed in "new."
I always go to "new", but I don't often go to "unread". In this case it was clear in the title what was being asked, and I probably would not have seen the post at all in "unread" section under the Ecowitt thread. Seems a bit heavy handed to me.
Saw that, and that was my reaction as well. If left open for a while someone helpful would have likely provided additional direction.
Sorry. I kind of thought since I said I tried and I couldn't in my post maybe it would have been nice to say how to do that as an admintrator.

Ya, that works…I do it all the time. If you try that on the Ecowitt driver page…that would take …we’ll try it…you’ll see what I mean.
Oh these guys are absolutely fantastic…I get responses he in seconds usually!
The user group is too. I’m still trying to get back to it…but a couple guys just convert a driver from another platform to one for Hubitat for me.
The easiest way to make that happen is to link to whichever integration you are using in your post. Forum moderators can move a post to the appropriate thread if that link is provided.
With at least 3 different Ecowitt integrations, it is impossible to guess which integration you are using.

I wonder if it’s a browser issue. I’m using Chrome. When I go back to that Ecowitt group post…those numbers are there but not in the bottom corner…kind of beside the post. When I click them I can’t visibly see any box and there just the little robot guy in the bottom right corner.
Your post really helped though. There are almost 2200 posts in that thread.
When I click around those numbers it opens a box that i can click on and move around quickly in the thread.
The weird thing though is that box is absolutely invisible in my browser. I just happened to click under the numbers and it jumped around in the thread…

Not following what you’re trying to say.
It’s a scroll bar. Click and drag it to the bottom and it will bring you to the most recent post in a thread, regardless of the total # of posts.
No scroll bar in Chrome. (If you are referring to the small green bar, then yes. It’s been so long since I’ve used that, that I had truly forgotten that it was dragable. I usually click the top date or most recent last time to get to the beginning or end) But, the 1m ago indicator in the lower right takes you directly to the last post. Clicking above the 14/14 responds as if a visible scroll bar were there. The image below is chrome on a Chromebook, latest version.
Seeing your screenshot in disbelief. Mine is also from Chrome. Could be the Discourse theme is different? (I prefer a dark background and went back to the “foundation” theme after the Discourse upgrade on this site).

I use MS Edge on Windows 11 and I have two scroll bars, one from Discourse and one from the browser itself.
Same two scrollbars in Safari on MacOS as well.
Yes, that is the scroll bar that @hubitrep posted a screenshot of, which is also visible in your screenshot.
Is not, they are all the same, just checked to make sure. You have to click on the posts counter to bring it up. Works the same in any theme:
There is also a native scrollbar but is so thin is useless on mobile, also the same on all themes. You can barely see it if you scroll down on posts. The scrollbar on desktop is larger.
There is definitely a difference between the desktop web browser and mobile device browser appearance. The desktop version seems to always display the scroll bar, while the mobile version requires one to click the post counter in order to show it.
