How to use this Community Board?

Where is How to use this Community board?
For example, how does the Message feature work when selecting a particular user?

It's standard Discourse software

There's also a robot "user" called @discobot that you can mention (in public or by PM, with @ like I just did) to be walked through a tutorial or perform any of its various robotic tasks. I'd probably just read, but if you really wanted to, you could say @discobot start tutorial.

Discourse (this forum software) is a bit different from traditional message board-type forums, but you'll get used to it.

For those who may come across this thread and like me are too lazy to read documentation :-), one thing I occasionally see people not realise (including me when I first started):

When you click the big green Reply button at the bottom of the topic, it's seen as you responding to the original post, not the last comment that was made, so the OP will get a notification that you responded to their opening comment, but not the user who made the most recent comment. Whereas, if you click the Reply button at the bottom of an individual comment throughout a topic, it is seen as a response to that specific comment and the person that posted it. In this case both the OP and the poster of the later comment will get a notification. There is more to this once you get into other notification settings, quoting and tagging users in comments, but probably not worth complicating it any further.
