Is there any way to tell if the hub has been rebooted (like from the Settings -> Reboot Hub) vs restart (caused by power outage)? I have an alert that subscribes to the systemStart event and it's happened twice today (very unusual). Can a "reboot" only be initiated by a user or automation so I should assume that any "unplanned" notification means that somehow the power to the hub was interrupted?
I don't see anything in the logs before the Hub restarts/reboots and everything seems to come up fine, so this is a bit worrying. Hub = C-5, FW = 2.2.6.139. Hub is on a UPS.
Thanks for your help.
There isn't a user visible way to tell, but the two restarts today were from power cycles. The internal logs (accessible from support tool only) stop and restart with 1/1/2015, which is a dead giveaway. Please try a different USB cable since it's the easiest thing to swap.

Thanks - will check that out.
EDIT: @gopher.ny - any particular specs or just a standard USB to micro USB?
Any 5v micro usb with 1 amp should work.

I use this so that I can power cycle the Hub when at red light without pulling the cord, which can break the solder joints between the micro USB and the printed circuit board.

I decided to do it in steps. Changed the power strip that HE was plugged into a few days ago but have had 2 restarts (power cycles) since then, so it wasn't the strip. Today I changed the USB cable (but not the plug it goes into). Let's see how this goes..
Changed the cable yesterday (used the one @672southmain suggested) and no joy
. Had another restart at 11:15 AM today. Is there any other diagnostics that you could do remotely?
I do have it plugged into a KASA wifi plug (HS105) to enable remote restarts, but that plug is showing that there was no activity.
