How to read the new Device Stats and App Stats page in the 2.2.5 update?

I don't know what each of the columns is necessarily indicating.
And what about the time next to the Reset button?

Not sure if I should be giving attention to the high percentage items in the lists here:

Device Stats

App Stats

the premise is this you hub has been running for 30 mins 39s of that 11s were used running devices in % that was0.6%, 43.7% of that was used by SHIELD. Of the 30min 39s uptime 15 seconds 0.8% was used by apps and of that 40.3% was external sunshine. Which BTW is paused so its still firing just not doing anything.

basically just over 1% of you total run time the hub was doing something, so not a lot to do basically so nothing running away, which is good.

So then the question becomes...what are the norms/averages for hubs. At what point does it present a problem.

The good news is with this data available now...you really could have some kind of watchdog that looks for a runaway device/app and pause or disable it...and send a notification. Excited to see what's ahead.

Of my three hubs the one with the most load is showing 2.5% apps load and 1.8% devices load. No idea how that compares to others but obviously doesn't seem bad based on numbers. This was since last night.

It presents a problem when your 'devices' or 'apps' are using a lot of your runtime and then within that you can see which apps or device drivers are taking the most time.

Just because an app is showing a high % even in the high 90%'s it doesn't mean there is a problem as the overall app usage time is very low (e.g. 0.8% * 95% = 0.76% of the total available time)

0.76% is really the figure to watch and judge by for the app rather than 95%

I am not sure that 0.8% is being calculated correctly though as the uptime it's derived from isn't reset so it may be overly optimistic.

Yeah and that's not very definitive. I think we can all assume that. I'm just curious if you were to poll all of the hubs...what are the average/min/max numbers out there...aka...we can kind of do that here and see for ourselves.

These stats are intended as a help tool for whenever hub slows down or starts misbehaving. Most of such cases can be traced to a small subset of apps/drivers that drive up usage, and stats are way to figure out what those apps/drivers are.
