Hi, I have a number of GE Enbrighten switches and dimmers. Hubitat doesn't seem to show the firmware version on the device page. If I change to the basic z-wave tool I can see the version in the logs so it can be obtained. I would like to see the current version of all my devices to see if I need to update any of the firmware. If there is an easier way to do this I would be very interested. Thanks!
@Heatvent What about if you switch the driver to DEVICE, click save then click Get Info? Is it at the bottom?
I wouldn't mind updating if the firmware is worth it but I don't get what you see for all my Enbrighten.
Do you have a C7 hub?
Yes
Hi, I am revisiting an old topic. I still have a number of Enbrighten switches and sometimes the firmwareVersion is populated in the data section of device details and sometimes not. I am using the Botched1 custom driver so I have visibility into the code. I have seen a number of comments that there is no convention for this and some drives show the firmware version and some do not.
I am happy to modify a driver for this purpose but I can seem to understand how the is is done. I don't see code that looks like it is doing this in the Botched1 Enbrighten custom drivers. I also looked at others that do seem to have the firmware listed and it seems to update correctly when a firmware update is done (e.g. the custom Zooz drivers by jpt10181.
Can anyone with custom driver experience give me some pointers on how the Data section gets populated/updated?
Thanks!
