How to continue use of C-8 HE

When I setup my C-8 Pro, I used migration from a C-8. The C-8 Pro is now my main hub for personal use. I would like to continue using the C-8 for testing. What is the recommended way I can either:

a.) Migrate the configuration (devices and basic rules) from a C-7 with it's respective and separate devices (currently used for testing) to the C-8,

b.) Restore the C-8 to a clean hub with no devices or rules?

Why not use the same process to migrate the C-7 to the C-8?
