I have 10 Sonos devices of various types. I only use a couple of them in automations, so I suppose I don't need to select any of them besides those two, but am curious about a couple of things. Issue #1. One of the devices, let's call it the Living Room Sonos, shows up 3 times in the Devices list: once as "Living Room Sonos" (Type=Sonos Player), second as "Living Room Sonos (Sonos - Amp)" (Type=AirPlay Compatible Player), and third as "Sonos Living Room" (Type=Sonos Player). The first and the third have the same DNI. The DNI for the second is the MAC address. I suppose I could remove all three and then run the Sonos Integration again, or I could just remove the two devices that are not used by the Automation(s) that I use. But I'm not keen on breaking the Automation and having to rebuild it. Just looking for thoughts and opinions. Issue #2. One of the devices that is found during the Sonos Integration app running is called "Master Bedroom (Sonos Connect:Amp)". But although it is selected during the integration process, it does not show up under that or any other name in the Devices list. Any ideas why not? Maybe because it's an older Sonos device?
I don’t know how to close this out, but suffice it to say that I was able to “fix” the problem, but it has been a while so I don’t remember how I did it. Probably something on the order of deleting all the instances of the one device and then re-establishing it via the integration too. Sorry I didn’t do a good job of documenting it for others. Interesting that there were no comments or remarks at all. I can’t recall that ever happening to me.
