I'm wondering about the drivers I use for devices. Many of my devices are more than a year or two old now - and as HE marches on it is possible and likely that drivers specifically for my components may now exist. Is there an app or a report that I can run?
I'm not having problems, per se, just looking to keep my system operating best. In the past, I would use 'generic zigbee blah blah' for example to enable a paired plug. How can I do a 'global lookup' on all my devices to get a listing of items that may benefit from using a newer driver?
thanks.
Don't think such a list exists (willing to be wrong), but if the device is performing its function correctly, and not causing undue stress on the hub, and isn't missing functionality my philosophy has always been that it is using the best or one of the best drivers available.
Do you mean new built-in drivers? Or new community drivers?
In both cases, I agree with @thebearmay. Although for built-in drivers, platform release notes will indicate any new device-specific drivers.
Thanks. I appreciate the advice - and humbly I add - it sounds like the the answer is no.
Staff do generally update the Compatible Device List when new drivers are introduced (I wouldn't be surprised if some things get missed on occasion, but it looks like they've kept up lately). In general, it's the best source of what they consider the best built-in driver for a particular device to be:

There is no automatic method to change drivers. But I second the advice above to not "fix" something that is working fine for you.
