For me, the ring contact sensors are the most reliable contact sensor that I've found and they do not suffer from the drop out I've seen other sensors suffer from and disappear from the mesh. However, it was tricky to get them added so I spent quite a bit of time researching this and found the steps that work every time and thought I'd share. I suggest reading through the steps to end before you start the process.
Once removing the contact sensor from the package and removing the paper band holding the sensor and magnet together, set the magnet aside

Remove the contact sensor back cover by sliding it out

Remove the battery cover via the phillips screw

Perform factory reset by inserting paper clip into the reset button next to the batteries. Keep holding until the led near the front button turns red.

In Hubitat, go to Settings - Z-WAVE Details

Take out one of the batteries from the sensor

In Hubitat, click the Start Z-wave Exclusion button

Put the battery back in

Press the button on the front of the contact sensor for at least 5 seconds and release.

In about 15 seconds it should be recognized and you should get a message that an unknown device was excluded.

If not, don’t worry and continue the steps

Remove the battery again

In Hubitat, click on the Add Device button

Click the Start Z-wave Inclusion button

Insert the battery

Press the button on the front of contact sensor for at least five seconds. When you stop pressing the led should start flashing

In about 30 secs it should be recognized and you should receive a message that it was included.

Reinstall the battery cover and back cover (clears the tamper indicator)

Click Next
-
Go to Device Info tab if not taken there by clicking Next

Change Type (drop down) to Ring Alarm Contact Sensor G2

Change Device Name to Ring Alarm Contact Sensor G2

Verify Device Label and Room

Click Save, wait for confirmation (may need to click twice)

Go to Commands tab and verify that Tamper is clear

Put magnet on Sensor and it should show closed
You're good to go!
