Noisy. Mini Splits are loud enough - Looks like a Kludge - Electrical system is inadequate as it blows the breaker therefore can't be code compliant.

The house we owned prior to this one actually had a similar arrangement. There was a room at the back corner of the house. Clearly an addition of some sort, but after I tore the walls apart I realized it was originally an outside patio.

Whoever enclosed the patio never ran an a/c duct into the space. At some point some prior owner purchased one of these portable a/c units and ran the flex duct through the wall to the outside, using a dryer vent. It was a sight to behold and one of the first things I ripped out. Fortunately, we no longer own that house.
