How Do You Cancel Out All The Noise?

There's some information that doesn't add to our lives, it can even put it into and even worse situation. How do you use smart tech to combat this scourge...?

I can't offer any great examples.... so am hoping for others to contribute here to help others to to limit the impact here...

I have a rule that turns off the stereo when the news comes on. However, lately, I've been using headphones, which can easily be flipped off.

How can they be guarded against my influence.... oh no....

I am on a "do not click it" regime. Too much "information" on social media and in search engines. Unless it is about someone I care about - don't click it. If it is political - don;t click it. If it is a fantastic story it is probably click bait - don't click it. Get a real newspaper subscription (on-line) and use that for news. Watch news shows on TV - but watch out for opinion shows. This will cut down on the mind pollution in our lives.

Could be worse...

Dream on

I am willing to test the waters given my limited experience.... But others may prove me wrong...

Ny times subscription for wordle and other games including news.

Not tech, but technically applies: "Cut the cord in 1997" No more cable TV, no news subscriptions, no landline, don't stream any news. Whatever I do read on Google News tends to come from the Technology or Finance sector. Find myself wishing Hubitat was a publicly traded company, since I now am sitting on a pile of cash before buying into the dip.
