I wanted to swap out one scene for another, and realized I couldn't immediately find all the places that used the scene. I can easily see what is using the Scene Activator device on the device page, but something that directly uses the scene doesn't show up there. E.g., like this Motion Lighting rule:
Is there anywhere to find anything else directly referencing a scene like this?
If you know the scene name, go to Apps, select the gear menu next to the scene in question. It lists the devices captured in that particular scene.
Forget scenes and move on to delays in your long list of commands. Just my .02.

Scenes are unreliable, in my experience, for the median user
If you are experiencing issues, you should start a new thread and maybe we can get the Hubitat team to look at it. But most people don't have problems with scenes.

How does that tell me what devices are in the scene. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for what references the scene. Knowing the devices doesn't get me to all the rules using the scene.
In the above example, I have a Motion Lighting rule using a scene. The devices in the scene do not reference the Motion Lighting rule in any way.

Ah, I read that wrong. I thought you were looking for which devices were in a scene.
I think this is what you are looking for instead. You can go to the Scene Activator device, (Device menu) and choose a scene. At the bottom of the page it references all the rules associated with the activator.
Right, I see that, but that only lists things using the Scene Activator device itself. Not things using the Scene, like a Motion Lighting rule. E.g., I have a Scene "Front Walk Active" and this is the bottom of the Activator device:
But you can see it's not incuding this Motion Lighting rule:
Is there no way to do this?

Ah, well, at the moment, no. But, there could be. The Scene Activator is used in those places where you are using the Scene, but it is doing so in a way that isn't getting into the In Use By list. I will look into making it show up in those contexts...

No. The release is almost done, and this hasn't been addressed.

I just snuck this in for Motion Lighting, Rule 5.1 and Scene Transition. Will be in Release 2.3.1. You will be able to tell by looking at the In Use By section of the device page for the Scene Activator device.
