I want to be able to remove a custom mode. I do not see a way to do it.

Go to Location and Modes, click on the Modes tab, and click the delete button next to the mode you want to remove.

Just be careful though, if you have referenced the mode in rules / apps etc. Have you made sure it is not referenced anywhere first?

So, I have 2 morning modes, one for sat and sunday and one for Mon-Fri. I want to delete the weekend one. There is no delete button
Ah, I see. I also think I should name 2 the same 
Your last screenshot looks like it’s from the mode manager app. That’s not going to help with deleting a mode.
You can delete a mode by following the instructions in @aaiyar’s post above.
