I would really appreciate if someone could help me by explaining the different temperature setpoints on the Thermostat app. I'm having trouble setting it up which has led to wife approval factor issues. T.I.A.

Which one? Thermostat Scheduler or Thermostat Controller?

truthfully both would probably be helpful, I'm not really sure which one I need to use, or if I need both to control it. it's the only device that I've really been stumped on.

So scheduler is a simple scheduler. It sets up a thermostat schedule.

Controller is much more complex. It controls the thermostat setting to achieve indoor comfort using input from multiple temperature sensors, rather than just the sensor on the thermostat itself.
