Similar idea
I did a hot water recirculation system to my master bathroom sink/shower with an inline temp probe.
Controlling the water temp would be a bit more tricky for your idea, you would need a faster opening/closing valve than I used.
Power really is no different than if you put in a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink.
