After upgrading to 2.3.7.143, HomeKit completely stopped working. I tried all restarts and the nuclear option, HomeKit sees my devices, but it says they are not responding….
@gopher.ny any idea ?

@gopher.ny any idea ?
I also added a HomePod mini to my home, and it seems to have taken over. Now I see tons of threads saying that HomePods break Apple homes….
Is there any solution for that ?
Make sure that all of your Apple devices are on the highest non-beta release, unless you're running beta on one the devices then you'll need to get them all on the highest beta release.
I am not even sure how to upgrade or configure the HomePod, there is no screen on this thing. But if it breaks my HomeKit when it takes control, it’s going to go right back to the store very soon…
Apple needs to get their game together and allow us to pin which controler is the master (I.e. the Apple TV4K).
Go into Apple Home | Settings | Software Update
It is up to date.
I unplugged the HomePod, and devices became responsive again. The AppleTV took back control. Now I’m crossing fingers it will keep control and not give it back to the HomePod.
I had this happen to me, too. Unplugging the HomePod and letting the Apple TV take over made everything responsive again. Restarting the HomePod from the Home app (it's an option there) also made things work temporarily, though sooner or later, the problem would crop up again.
I gave up, reset and unplugged the HomePod, and let it sit for a while. Then when HomePod update 17.2 was released, I set it up, made sure it was updated, and tried again. The problem has not returned.
Maybe it was the update, maybe it was the reset (though I had also tried one previously), or maybe just luck -- but maybe one of those things will do it for you, too. ![]()
Update apple tv and your homepod to the latest (17.2). After that's done, shut down both apple tv and the homepod then hubitat. Once done bring up hompod 1st. Then hubitat, then apple tv. (I have 7 home pod minis and a homepod and all works well)
Is the control still taken by the HomePods ? I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the ATV that keeps control. The ATV seems much more capable than the HomePod mini….
I don't know about that. I have an ATV but the homepods seem to be predominant and fast.
