HomeKit integration with Zooz Zen73 switch

When I added one of my Zooz Zen73 switch to the HomeKit integration, it shows up as a device with 8 different buttons for all of the ways you can toggle the switch for different actions. I can have it show up as 8 separate tiles, but I don't even know which one is supposed to be the regular toggle for on/off.

It also adds a second device with the same name, but this device says "This accessory requires a home hub to be used with the Home app." I've never had any other accessory say that in HomeKit. The tile icon this 2nd device shows is a push button or something, instead of a toggle switch.

Using the same switch through Homebridge I only see one device with the on/off action in HomeKit. When I toggle the switch physically or use the Homebridge tile in the Home app, the Hubitat tile doesn't even show any of the 8 separate toggles as being on.

The device in Hubitat is using the built-in Zooz Zen73 driver.

Is anyone else seeing this with the Zooz 7X switches?

I have a Zooz Zen24 dimmer switch, using the Zooz Central Scene Dimmer driver, that appears to work just fine. Shows up as a dimmable light in HomeKit through the integration, and is only listed as a single tile and one device. However, it shows up as a light bulb in HomeKit and not as a toggle switch which allows me to choose if I want it to display as a light or a switch.

The “controller” issue is happening with some of my Zooz switches as well. My Zen32 shows up as like 75 switches in one and my Zen76 as 35 or so.

I fixed this for myself.

Went to the advanced section of the Homekit Integration, turned on "show accessory classes and characteristics," unchecked my Zen73 switch, clicked for it to export as a switch, and then rechecked it. It now shows up just as a single toggle switch in Homekit.

Yes a dimmer/button combo will default as a dimmer but unfortunately a switch/button combo will currently default to a button and you have to change it to a switch.

What are you wanting to do with the ZEN32, just control the main relay button? In that case turn on the advanced setting to show classes in the Homekit integration and then change it to a switch.

I have all of my z-wave devices on on one hub and connected via hub mesh to the hub with the HomeKit app. The only Z-wave devices showing up to be selected are my zooz double plugs and my double relay. None of the other switches are on the list to select. Do I need to install the HomeKit app on the wave hub to add them to HomeKit.? They are all Zooz switches.

Yes. Hub mesh devices aren’t supported.

I guess I should have read the instructions. The strange thing is that my Zen 52 and Zen 25 child devices show up via hub mesh.

Thanks.

I've done this too, and it works well for my Zen32 (All I want is to control the main relay), but wonder what the difference between the choices of the four options:
"Switch only"
"Button only"
"Button"
"Switch"

When I tried "Switch Only" it did not do anything.
Select "Switch" and it should move to the switch category. Then it will be shared as a switch instead of a bunch of buttons.

When I chose "switch only" on my Zen73 switch, that option disappeared, so then I clicked "switch."
