HomeKit integration is KO

Hello Hubitat lovers,

I moved to Hubitat a few years back because they offered a native HomeKit integration, along with the possibility to stay offline and still have my stuff doing their stuff.

And frankly, best choice ever. I never had any issue, the system is fantastic, and the community is super helpful. Love it.

Just had my first big issue yesterday though, after years of smooth sailing. I really can’t figure it out.

My HomeKit integration suddenly stopped working. Just like that. I updated everything, but nothing changed. I then used the nuclear option in the integration and deleted the hub from the Home app. Now I can’t seem to add it again.

I don’t know if this is a Hubitat issue, or if my HomePod fell to its knees, so I was wondering if anybody has had the same issue recently.

Thanks for any insight!

Roman

I use the HomeKit integration regularly and have never encountered this. Before going nuclear, I would typically recommend checking the logs for error and also rebooting the HomeKit device.

Check you Homepod for an update... I have had intermittent issue like this but its always my HK hub. I run 2 ATVs and its normally one of them need an update OR reboot. I recently had another issue so I went into homekit app and forced it to use my main ATV only. Not sure if your using more than one devcie as hub but HK finds them and use them if you have other Apple Products that can be a hub.

Refresh the QR code in the integration then try to add it to home again. Another option is use the built in homekit controller that you can connect home kit devices directly to hubitat as well.
