Homekit Integration App device state sync

I’ve been happily using the homekit integration app for a while now for about 90% of my devices. One thing I’m noticing is the device state will sometimes not sync, i.e. a light switch will say it is on in Home app, but it will be off in Hubitat. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this related to the “not responding” issue that some people are having. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thank you!

I’m seeing this sometimes as well. I think it’s an Apple Home issue since it seems to correct itself if I force close the Home app and reopen it, but not positive. I have been seeing an issue where I turn on a light in the Home app and it quickly shows as off again (but it is actually on) but switching to another room and then switching back seems to correct it. @gopher.ny have you seen this behavior?

I actually notice something similar on Amazon echo and with Homekit when controlling my mini splits. For instance, I will tell Amazon echo to set an AC to cool. It will confirm that it was set to cool, but nothing actually happens with the mini split. Same with controlling the mini split from the home app. It works maybe 50% of the time.

But when I program a button to turn on AC to cool, on a physical zigbee remote that goes through node-red makerapi, it works 100% of the time.

I just realized that the lights that are still on Homebridge don’t have this problem. So I’m going to assume it is something with the Homekit app in my case at least.

I don't recall it, although there certainly are app quirks that self correct by closing and re-opening the app. Also, HomeKit seems to work best when there's a home hub around (Apple TV, HomePod). It just feels more stable/responsive, even on the same LAN.

I have 3 ATVs (4K) and 3 HPMs. I only mentioned this oddity because it doesn’t happen with the Homebridge V2 app.
