This new HomeKit integration is slick! I've got all my individual devices up and running via HomeKit, and they work perfect. I have one eeeensy-weensy request:
Can we have an option to export activator devices for Room Lighting to HomeKit as Scenes, rather than just buttons and switches? I have a bunch of them. I could squirrel them all away into a HomeKit room called "Scenes," or something, but it'd be nice to leverage the native scenes functionality in HomeKit if possible.
I think the scenes are only able to be created within the Home app. The only way I was ever able to get this to work with Homebridge was to share the activator as a switch. Go to the switch settings on Homekit and remove it from Home/Favorites and Status > Include in Summaries (off). Then you create a Scene and the only thing it does is turn on that switch.
