I am using the excellent Home Assistant device bridge to get to parts I can't get to using native HE. Namely all my Meross switches. The device bridge supports many different types of devices but not power. It does support voltage which seems a little strange to me. Is there any chance it will one day support power?
I have a couple of Zooz ZEN15 Z-wave power outlets. Hubitat reports voltage, amperage, power, and energy use.
The Meross switches I found an Amazon seem to be Wi-Fi devices and require the Meross app. Since Hubitat is specifically designed to work without Internet connections, there are only a few WiFI devices for which LAN/Cloud integrations have been created. In many cases, these are device drivers created by community developers. For example, some popular TP-Link Kasa devices can be incorporated into Hubitat because a community member was kind enough to volunteer his time and abilities. This can only be done if the manufacturer provides the details of the APIs used by the devices. Without those details, no integration is possible. If a Smartthings integration is available, that might provide clues on how to create a device driver for Hubitat. Smartthings was designed to work in the Cloud, so not everything that works with Smartthings will work with Hubitat.
The integration between Home Assistant and Hubitat is not an official one. Any new features for that integration would depend upon community developers having an interest to add them.
If the device creates entities in HA and there is a Generic Component driver for the capability available in Hubitat Elevation, then it may be possible. Many Generic Component drivers were added recently. Make a request in the Home Assistant Device Bridge thread.
