I am currently using Home Assistant solely for the purpose of using it for the dashboard. I use this integration HERE. I came across one issue that thought maybe someone else may have run into it. I have a few Inovelli LZW45 lights strips and when trying to control the color via my home assistant dashboard it sends the color command and also send an off command for some reason. Anyone ever ran into this issue before? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Have you set up a simple Hubitat dashboard instance and tested the devices there?
If that works then you'll probably have to check with the developer, jason0x43, over on the HA forums.
Also the maker api does not automagically turn off devices during a color change afaik.
The other thing you could try if you have a UZB-7 or other Z-Wave stick is pair lights directly with HA and test.. but again that is probably beyond the scope of what is appropriate for the HE forums.
Thanks for the response! Yes these devices work as they are supposed to from within hubitat and its dashboard. I reached out to the developer a few days back and haven't gotten a response yet, got a little impatient and figured I'd ask around here too.
Gotcha! Also it could be a range thing - if color values are different from what the device is expecting could cause weirdness. Be interesting to see the calls the plugin makes to Maker API. Changing between CT and RGB(W) always seems troublesome.
Good call, I'm going to play around with them some more when I get home tonight and see if I can narrow it down more.
