Heltun High Load Switch

Hello.
I've got my shiny new Heltun high load switch through (HE-HLS01). Has anyone got a fully working device code to go with this?

I bought it to control a hot water tank immersion element. ie, use the temperature reporting to control when the immersion should be powered (based on variables like time of the day/being at home etc)

The device has 2 modes, either a thermostat, or a switch. If tried both modes and a number of trial drivers.
Temperature reporting works in most, but I can't change thermostat mode or set point. As a switch, Qubino relay 1D polls but does not operate the switch.

Any ideas?
thank you

If you have not already looked at this, take a look at the Virtual Thermostat device, and built in Thermostat Scheduler app. Will be improved or replaced with the Thermostat Controller in forthcoming release 2.2.4.

Set thermostat to heat, set target heating temperature, then when device changes to heating or idle, use RM to control your immersion device. Assumes you can get the device's actual current temperature to the Virtual Thermostat.

Thermostat Scheduler allows temperature adjustments base on time and mode.

Interesting looking device, my guess is it would need its own driver to get it to function as intended, including changing between switch and thermostat mode, maybe some other settings specific to the device too?

But out of curiosity do you have the manual handy?

You might be able to use the z-wave tweaker tool to set some parameters, which might then allow for another device driver to send commands in a way the device will respond to.

exactly what I have been trying with the Z-Wave tweaker..

the manual is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11vnyepMGS2Ie1Ltc8dzTGmFynp5FgPsV/edit

When you include it, you do 2 pressed for switch mode, or 4 for thermostat mode.
Going to investigate it in switch mode for now, using the Qubino 1D Relay driver. The Temperature is coming through as a child device nicely.

Only issue is that it seems to turn itself off after 90s, but it could be as I'm bench testing with no load.

Did you get this working and do you have driver code please?

I haven't got it wired in. Added it to the pricey paperweight pile. :frowning:

We all have a like like that!!
