Even when something isn't working right we all need to be a little more patient with people, myself included. Remember, everyone on here that isn't staff isn't getting anything for their time other than the satisfaction that comes from helping people. EVERYONE needs to remember that more.
You were absolutely correct the delay was in a combination of things. I was using the out of the box generic CT zigbee driver for the echosmart bulbs and it seem that its less than optimal - I have moved all the ecosmart bulbs to the Hue bridge moved the remote handling from HE to node red and now I get instantaneous response times. The ecosmart bulb takes time to transition to full brightness but its visible so the feedback is immediate.
