I've set up a Room Lighting instance for my bathroom that has different settings for 'Night' and 'In Bed' modes. I have it so that 'Bathroom Lights' (ceiling downlights) come on with motion in 'Night' mode while 'Bathroom Ambient-color' (under sink RGB strip) should come on and stay on while 'In Bed' then turn off when the mode switches to 'Day'. Here is the main body of the rule....:
....and the settings per mode:
The rule works correctly while in 'Night' mode. When the mode switches to 'In Bed' it correctly turns on 'Bathroom Ambient-Color' and they stay on as they should, prevented from being turned off by the 'In Bed' mode. However on a morning when the mode switches back to 'Day' (at 8AM or if we press our 'Good Morning' button) the 'Bathroom Ambient-color' stays on when I want it to turn off. I'm not sure whether this is user error (me) or a bug. I know I can easily create another rule to turn on/off the lights according to the mode but as it's quite simple I'd rather keep it within one RL instance if possible. Any ideas? Logs below.
The above shows the mode change to 'In Bed' working, turning the light on and keeping it on while in the mode.
The above shows the switch to 'Day' mode where I'd expect it to turn off the 'Bathroom Ambient-color' but doesn't. I have mode changes to 'Day' as a means to turn off so was hoping that'd do it. I'm guessing I might have to set that light up for the 'Day' mode with just the option to turn it off but that defeats the object, as motion inactive will turn it off during the day if I've turned it on manually.
