I'm a developer and have looked at your code. Can you explain why a server on the Internet is needed in the design? My thinking, on the surface with limited Hubitat experience, is the hub itself can send the tls 587 gmail packet itself. Thanks for any information! Best regards, Mike

So I actually tried to do that a while ago with the telnet interface but had issues with hub lockups. Originally the system was just sendmail then I expanded it to include others. The real reason though for me it was it was a lot easier to implement and I could use it for other things.
