Help installing Govee RGBIC

I have some RGBIC Govee lights. I’m going to install them as cove lighting near the ceiling. Question: what’s the best way to get power to the lights?
(1) Option 1: install a power outlet up near the ceiling and plug in up there. I can put it in the corner above the door so it’s not overly conspicuous, but it will still be more of an eye sore than preferred.
(2) Option 2: buy a barrel extender (assuming they exist), and run the 24V wire through the drywall up to the lights. Not sure this is safe or up to code though….

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think the only worry with the extender (they do exist) would be voltage drop due to the extended distance. Easy enough to test (the extenders are only a few bucks) by adding the extension, unrolling the LED strip, and seeing if there's a noticeable color difference between the beginning and end.

If you're comfortable with running power, another option is to install an outlet in the attic with the cable ran up through the wall.

There are no issues with running low voltage drops through a wall.
