Here is my setup:
Hubitat
Ring Gen 2 14 Piece Setup
Eero WiFi 3 Router
My IQ Garage
WaterCop
Wireless Doorlock (Forget brand)
Thermador Appliances (Home Connect)
Eufy cameras
Eventually water sensors
I have been screwing around with the setup for hours and haven’t been able to connect the Ring to Hubitat. Many years ago (30+) I did programming so understand logical thought process but am totally unfamiliar with the first steps even after watching videos.
I am willing to pay $100 for somebody to get me started and build some momentum so that I can better get some traction. Otherwise, I will punt to the AEOTEC system and I really don’t want to give up.
You need to install the ring integration (unofficial) from Hubitat package manager 1st..
For MyQ you need to install MyQ Lite from Hubitat Package Manager (Overall though you're better off getting rid of it and using a Zooz Zen-16 and an Ecolink tilt sensor.
Water cop: Factory reset and pair normally
Without knowing the door lock brand we can't help you
For the Home Connect stuff you will need the Home Connect integration from Hubitat Package Manager
For the Eufy cameras you will need Blue Iris
What water sensors?
As far as changing to the Aeotec/Smart Things hub you would have to go a similar route though they will be limiting groovy I believe so community drivers won't work after that.
One of the problems is you have such a mix of cloud based integrated stuff so you need to take your time and search the forums. Ask as many questions as needed, that's what were all here for.
I agree that this might be what’s tripping up the OP?
Also that there’s plenty of help available here (for free, at that) if you can ask specific questions.
@atwnsw what have you been trying to do for hours at this point? Install custom driver and app code for the ring integration? Pair z-wave devices?
You may find that someone’s willing to take you up on your offer for paid support one-on-one, but I suspect there are far more people that can help you help yourself if you’re willing to spend a little more time asking specific questions.
Same here. I don't think many want to become your personal support, paid or otherwise. But I think people are willing to help get you going, and answer specific questions and guide you through the processes.
I will second what marktheknife and others have said, start with one device or app you want to work with, and we can try to get you started.
