Help combining 3 RM Rules into 1 Rule

Hi Guys,

I presently have 3 RM rules to control my bathroom fan.

Fan OFF
Fan OFF Auto
Fan ON Auto

I'm trying to combine these into 1 rule but can't seem to get there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kahn,

The rules do work perfectly and they do make sense, just need to combine into 1 rule.

Operation to be

When the Ensuite switch is ON and movement is detected then Fan is ON.
When the Ensuite switch is ON and no movement has been detected then the Fan switches OFF after 20 minutes.
When the Ensuite switch is OFF then the Fan is OFF.

This seems very straightforward if you use a Motion Lighting app.

You mean motion lighting app? What happened when you tried that? What part of it failed? There are lots of settings (some buried in menus or not obvious what they do) in motion lighting, and it sounds like one or more options weren't set correctly to get the desired result.

Why are you using the "additional motion sensors to prevent off"? You only need that if you have two sensors and want both to control this fan. I wonder if this is interfering?

If that doesn't work, why not start with motion sensor, light to turn on, an delay off and then add back the "switch to disable" and "don't turn off" and see where the failure occurs. I am not sure you need that "switch to disable" at all.

Motion lighting works fine, but there are so many conflicting settings that it sometimes is hard to pick what you actually need.
