Help: Basic Electrical Stuff

Edit: I’m dumb. They’re addressable LED strips. It needs data to show anything :woman_facepalming:

I feel like an absolute dumb-dumb lol. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? All I’m trying to do is turn on these LED strips (no controller).

LED Strips: PAUTIX RGB Smart IC COB LED Strip Light Addressable 16.4ft/5m,UL-Listed 24V
Power Supply: PAUTIX 24V DC Power Supply Adapter 24Volt 5A 120W AC to DC Converter Transformer 100-240V AC Input with 5.5 x 2.1mm US Plug for LED Strip

All I’m doing is connecting the +24V and Ground to the Power Supply and it’s not turning on :frowning:

Because this is an addressable strip it will not be on without a controller.
Occasionally it may flickering if it will pickup noise on a data line.

I realize that now haha. My glucose was really low when I made this post so I was a bit hysterical. Do you remember what “LED Type” you picked on your PixelBlaze setting for FCOB LED strips like this?

This is WS2812B/WS2811 LED Chip (must be mentioned on the strip packing).

Now that things have settled down, what automation are the lights for? Going to light up the bathroom further, or holiday-focused?

Haha no. It’s uplighting for our bar shelves in our wet bar  Shelves aren’t up yet because we are basically waiting on me lol

Wow, the brick looks awesome...I miss brick, spent some formative years on the east coast where so many houses were made of brick. Just not really a thing out on the left-coast, sadly. Miss it...

Hopefully you'll get that Haley person going on her tasks...

The house really isn’t brick but we added brick inside so the bar feels like being transported out of the house. We live out in the country and don’t have Ubers, so drinking definitely means drinking and driving  But, I still like my happy hours after WFH lol.

And yes, it seems all she does is sleep.
