He 7 hub breaks randomly

Sometimes started recently my hub has been unable to be connected too and it wont work with google home it ususlly works after i yank the cable out and restart that way network light on switch is on during this anybody know the reason

That is a really bad way to handle things. At this point you may have a corrupted database and should do a soft reset and restore to correct it. Also please when you do have to pull power, do it from the wall, not the hub. Repeated pulling like that can damage the c7 power connector.

Tried downgrading and upgrading the hub as this was after an update where it go stuck so i had to pull the plug

Prior to pulling the plug did you try going from a web browser to yourhubip:8081 to see if it was still up?

Do you have jumbo frames enabled anywhere on the network.

Have you looked at your logs (and event logs, and both stat logs) for any anomolies?

What lan integrations do you have?

Do you have a lot of power reporting devices?

Do you have a zooz 4-in-1sensor or zen-25 outlet?

the thing just did it and i can find it on http://192.168.1.145:8081/ but not normal

Can you answer the rest of @rlithgow1 questions.

  1. Do you have Jumbo Frams on your network

  2. Have you looked at your Hub Logs to see if anything is triggering this

  3. What Lan integrations do you have on your hub

  4. Do you have any power reporting devices

  5. Do you have any Zooz 4-1 sensors or Zen25 Dual Plug Outlets.

  6. Did you ever do a soft reset to prevent corruption from being a factor?

Since you can get to 8081 you should probably do the restart from there.

So the hub didn't completely crash. You may have a corrupt database and in that case a soft reset is in order. I would also put in to support.hubitat.com and get the @support_team to look at your engineering logs. Look at your logs and event logs to see if you can spot anything on your own.

no jumbo frames unless its standard
only lan stuff i got is rule machine and a wol program
no power reporting devices
no zooz or zen25
no soft reset as i dont want to lose all the ■■■■ ive done

No. Restoring a backed up database is part of the soft reset process.

Take a backup of your database. Personally I export it to my PC.
Then follow this documentation.
https://docs2.hubitat.com/en/user-interface/advanced-features/soft-reset

You will not lose all your configuration if you do a backup first and then restore that backup to your hub.
