Having trouble with track dim

Maybe I've done this wrong. I can't seem to get the Stairs Group to turn on and adjust to the level of the dimmer in the trigger.

I want the Stairs switch (virtual switch) to turn on, then the Stairs Group to dim to the current level of the dimmerLevel connector. When the Stairs switch turns off, I want the Stairs Group to dim to 0.

Because if the switch turns on or off, it is the "event device" and it isn't a dimmer so the rule has nothing it track to. What you are saying is only possible using variable. When the switch changes, you would set a variable equal to the dimmer level of the other device and then setLevel to that variable.
