After years of trouble-free use, my C7 (on the latest FW) must be rebooted nightly to work properly with Alexa.. Alexa is constantly reporting that device X is not responding when the device responds and also, various devices fail to respond to Alexa commands.
Once I reboot the device everything works well again for the next 24 hours. I have approx 60 smart devices and there are no duplicate IP issues. I also haven't needed to change the configuration in the last few months so it is unlikely that a configuration change is causing the problem.. any ideas?
Which specific update is this? There was an update today, 2.3.9.181 that may help with connectivity issues.
The .181 update reverts what was broken with the cloud connection in the last few updates. Updating to .181 should solve cloud connection issues.
Although your issue sounds like it was still working but degraded? That might be a different problem and not related to Alexa or cloud services at all. When you start having issues have you tried controlling the devices directly from HE device page or dashboard? Is only Alexa impacted or is all device control impacted?
Thanks both!! I am applying the update now, it was on .180. If the issue prevails I will check device control via the HE app. - Thanks
Coming back on this - it's been a couple of weeks and the issue has been resolved!! Thanks for all of your contributions!
updated to 2.3.9.193 and the issue is back again!! after approx. 24hrs none of my devices respond to Alexa commands until I reboot..
