Have there been any improvements with 1.1.3.114?

LOL @Cobra

Well let this be a lesson. Don't delete the actual app data unless you feel like deleting everything permanently.

Luckily I already moved most of my stuff to RM, and I have backups of my old pistons in my SmartThings instance.

Trying to determine if it was the old install hanging up on something, or if a fresh install still has the same effect.

I've added two pistons and noticing a 2-3 second delay in my RuleMachine automations. GUI access is still fine. Going to uninstall webCoRE now and see if the automations speed up.

Delay gone. In fact, there was even a slight delay while the code was sitting there uninstalled. Only after purging the hub entirely of all webcore code did it return to the usual near-instant automations.

Thank you for running this test. I experienced similar behavior a few months ago and I completely removed all webCoRE code as well. My hub has been running well ever since, except for the recent Life360 issue that was found and fixed.

I have been watching these threads very closely while I migrated all of my pistons off of webcore.

I upgraded to 1.1.3.114 before and my hub slowed to a crawl. Contacted support and they couldn't see exactly what it was. I downloaded to 1.1.2 and everything ran fine.

I just decided to remove webcore entirely from my HE and do an upgrade. The system is now running perfectly. It was very noticable before when I had WebCore installed.

Will check on it again in the morning.

So you didn't re-add webcore ?

Not sure if this is going to help everyone, but I opened a ticket with support for my sluggish hub issues. Support got back to me very quickly saying that they identified an issue with a "description field length" causing my database to go into a loop trying to save itself which is likely causing my issue. They are working on a "hotfix" that will hopefully resolve it.

Perhaps everyone who is experiencing this general slowness should open a ticket a support@hubitat.com to see if this is part of their problem too?

No. My goal was to get off of webcore. I don't have any pistons in it anymore. My hub is actually a lot more responsive. Its even faster than when I was on 1.1.2. Even when I only had 1 piston enabled. I don't plan on installing webcore again. Writing native apps run so much better and have a much faster response time.

I reluctantly moved all WC Pistons to RM and Simple Lighting (because nothing was super complex) 2 days ago and so far, things are better

@halfrican.ak how long was it (assuming you know which it was) which could have caused the issue? Maybe one for us all to watch.

Not certain, I've had my HE since it's official US release. I've experienced periodic sluggishness more and more in the last few weeks, but now it was enough to make a support request.

Yup, been in the same boat for around 3 weeks now. They've been trying all sorts out with me. Thankfully making progress.
