I just installed the airplay app and tried to get my HomePod mini to speak. Nothing happened.

Has anyone gotten it to work yet? I know it’s beta.

Works fine here.

To test a device, go to the device page, type in the TEXT box then click speak. Set volume to 100 and click SET VOLUME before you test. It may be too low.

I did this and it doesn’t play anything.

Hmm, rerun discovery. Make a DHCP reservation for your Homepod...

Hmmmmm. Killing my home app and changing the settings again worked.

Just wondering what I'm doing wrong… I've tried many times to install the app and it just doesn't! Click the Install button and wait for the dependencies etc. to install… and once done, it just goes back to the original Install screen… Logs don't provide much help

If anyone has any clues, I'd be grateful… C8 Hub running the latest HE version

So I had a similar issue on the C7. The first time I installed it, the dependencies never finished. It did show an installed app. I had to remove the app and reboot my hub. Once I did that the next install worked without issues.

Thanks for the reply – much appreciated… I've tried this approach a few times with no luck so thought I'd give it another go… no luck unfortunately! Will try again after the next update
