Check fleabay, just got a new halo for 29 USD last week
Yes, at least all the ones I've ever used would identify the "zone" == specific unit reporting smoke or CM
Yes, but household(s) I'm responsible for have other needs:
- Elderly who do hear or respond to alerts well
- who have in the past started small fires that billowed smoke while they were unconscious
- I travel for work significantly and am not always local
This means that I may need to coordinate remediation or worse case rescue remotely, therefore having clarity on the source has significant value to me.
Well if they are starting to fail around half their supposed lifetime...? I am curious if anyone else is seeing this.
I have six, 1 has failed. It's says sensor failed, not sure what sensor tho.
I have 2 as backups, as 29-39 bucks for an interconnected alarm with zigbee, temp, humidity is not too bad. Anything even close is 150, and their functionality doesn't meet my needs.
I'm 100% with you, it's why I loaded up on more... but random alarms in the middle of night are becoming too common.
Mine are all mfg'd in 2017. Do yours still misbehave if totally disconnected from the mesh?
