Halloween - Remote trigger for "try me" button on animated decoration

The haunting season is coming up. I am doing a pet cemetary & pumpkin patch themed haunting. I have a few small pet skeletons (from Home Depot) that are sound activated. The eyes light, jaws move, and they bark, growl, howl, etc.

The sound trigger sucks. I want to find another way to remotely trigger these props. Each of the props came with a "try me" button so folks can see how it works in the store. It is just a simple push button with 2 wires and a connector that plugs into the prop. When you press it, the prop cycles through the animation. When you press the button it completes the circuit triggering the "thing" that controls the animation sequence. In essence the same "thing" is probably used by the sound detector too.

I want to see if I can connect the "try me" wires to something that can be accessed remotely via WiFi, Z-wave, or Zigbee. Anyone of you smart fiends out there know what I can use to close the circuit via remote communications protocol?

One device that runs on batteries (if that's what you need) and does an output is the Thirdreality Zigbee Smart Switch Mover.
It should be able to push a switch, if it's small enough.

The Zooz Zen 16 Multirelay would work for this, as long as you don’t mind running wires to all your devices.

Alternatively, you could also try the Shelly Uni which runs on 12v and has two relays.
