Morning!
In my never ending quest to make our lives better by adding things the wife thinks we don't need (before loving them), I'm now on the search for something to control our Bedroom salt lamp.
At the moment it has an in-line switch/dial on the power chord. Allows it to switch on initially as dim, continue to spin the dial and it increases in brightness. Turn it back the other way, it dims and eventually clicks off.
I have a fibaro dimmer (zwave) for the main front room lights, so I'm sure I could buy another one of them and rig it up. Problem is that it costs a bomb, and it feels like one of these occasions in life when there's probably a way more cost effective solution.
(I remember slowly buying a total of 4 fibaro ubs/smart implants for more than 30 quid each, which have now been retired and replaced by 2 quid nodemcu's, for example).
Essentially if like to come up with a cool way of controlling the salt lamp on, off, brightness without spending another 50 quid or whatever, because it feels like overkill.
Over to the experts! I bet there's something clever/cheap lurking out there! =p
TIA
