I got lucky last week and found a 8 GB Raspberry Pi 4B at Adafruit. I can now spend the next week merging a Pi Model 3 (v1) and Pi 4b 2 GB into one box for all my Docker containers and other stuff freeing up the old boxes to help with Robotics this year.
Mind if I ask how much?
$75.00 plus shipping. It's better than trying to get them from the scalpers. We really need them for scoring systems in FIRST Tech Challenge in Robotics and educating the kids.
Wow that's pretty cheap! It looks to be a complete kit too?
Great price for a Pi8 kit.
Always excited when a pi arrives (rare occurrence these days! ).
I have a newish (3yr) intel fanless thin client that I migrated all my stuff too. These are available fairly cheaply on ebay etc (often complete with 8gb of ram and ssd) and would free up all your pi's for more interesting i/o based projects like robots. Everything HA based I used to run on a pi now runs as happily on this machine.
It also has very low power consumption (not much more that a pi). Highly recommended as pi's odroids and the more common SBCs are in short supply.
What a great find! I picked up a RPi 400 last week at Adafruit (ordered two weeks ago) because they did not have the RPi4 in stock (much less the 8gb one). Shows not in stock again (although I received the 400 already).
Which specific one are you using? Curious minds want to know!
Dell wyse 5070 (the pentium version is the one to go for rather than celeron for obvious reasons). Also on my list when going this route are the HP T620/630 or even the lower specced Dell wyse 5040/5020.
They are ALL gone now 9/7/22 @ 19:17 EST
Unfortunately it is unlikely that they are all destined to be going straight to end users. I hate that!

On Twitter he also has a web site of store and inventory around the world. Wednesday is usually the day Adafruit has them sometimes Thursday. For Adafruit they are also limited to those that have enabled two factor and usually quantity 1 per customer to prevent scalping.
What's "Twatter" ? Seriously I only have a fake account to read the insane things posted there and watch in realtime our world crumbling.
I need to bite the bullet and start using the Proxmox server I spun up. Supposedly it can replace several of my SBC's
Well I got the new Pi l up and running yesterday, I also replaced a 2.5 inch boot drive with a NVMe boot drive. I no longer use SD cards for Pi's since they have made the EPROM's for configuring booting off of external devices. I did lose about 30 minutes of weather and performance data while doing the disk image transfers. Much easer to image across than the rebuild from scratch.
Also the new case has much better airflow and a bit larger fan, Dropped the temperature:
