I have a sump pump notifier when wet Pushover send notification to my phone. This morning I recieved notification so I checked the pump and all was working. Every 5 minutes I would get notification although the detector was not wet. The battery shows 99. At the same time my counter lights would go on. I would shut them off get a notification for sump pump and lights would go on again. I have reset hub but it continued.
More details are needed to provide any clue as to what is happening. Do you have any rules, Smartapps, or logs to show what is happening.
I would start by checking the events log of the water sensor device - does it report wet? If so, you know where the issue is.
If the water sensor reports dry, then I would check the app that sends to notifications to see if it is being triggered.
Water sensor reported wet. I cleaned and kept the sensor out of the well. Still got notification. Removed the battery then reinserted. Light came on and within a minute notification so I removed battery and within a few mintues notification. I then checked on hub the status: battery 99 and dry. The battery was disconnected. Sump Pump notifier was paused also and still got notification. The counter lights seem to be working now. Turned off and they stayed off even though got pump notification.
Not sure if this is the case for you, but I have had issues in the past with Pushover/Google SMS notifications where they appear to get "stuck" and will repeat. I've added a timestamp to all my notifications so that I know when the event happened.
I don't use HE notifications (use Node-RED), so your case may be different but it may trigger some other idea.
Did you use HE notifications when it was stuck? I don't know if it is just my hub but every week something happens. Some lights don't come on or don't turn off. I have changed several to zigbee from Zooz Z wave. It seems to be the mostly the same lights. I have a group of 3 lights 2 of the 3 will go on the 3rd I have to do manually thru the hub. It is a C5 hub and I do all the updates. I have several repeaters and the hub is 20 ft away with 2 walls in between. Now the notification problems.
