If anyone uses Gorilla Putty mounting squares, Home Depot has them on the closeout shelf. I picked up 2 packs for $3.33 each today in Roanoake, TX
That's a okay price! I'd I got a 2 pack of the 4oz ones a year ago, and I use them just about every sensor I install these days.

For anyone who wants to check inventory and price in their local HD.
They're not showing the clearance price, but I'm going to swing by and grab some. I've been using Scotch 1"x125" Indoor Mounting Tape for my sensors. Easy enough to remove without any oily residue left behind. Does this remove easy and clean off painted surfaces?
I have never had any issues with oily residue. Sometimes if you pressed really hard whey you first applied there may be a little left behind when you take it off, but usually you can just rub it a little and it comes right off.
I've found it removes trivially from painted surfaces, both wallboard and wood, leaving no trace or residue. I'm not sure if it matters, but we use latex paint, eggshell on the wall and semigloss on the wood trim. Also, I've only had it in use for just under a year.
I did find them in my local HD. Even though brickseek said they were clearance priced, they rang up at the full price of $3.78 for 2oz (56g), so I didn't get them.
But, I got the 2 pack of 4oz at Amazon for $12.38 (using the Subscribe & Save discount of 5%). That's $1.55/oz, which is less than the clearance price at HD ($1.66/oz). Even without the S&S discount, Amazon is cheaper.
So I updated my post.
I guess I thought it was a great price because I paid almost $8 for a single pack on Amazon.
