I use the Chromecast Integration. I have several Google Minis. When using rules or notifications, these only are choices under "speech device". I would like them to be under "Music Device" so that I can specify the volume on them for the TTS action I am using.
Is there any way to classify these devices as Music devices instead of Speech Devices?
Mine came up in HE as chromecast audio. On the driver link for it, there is a play track option and I was able to point it at a URL of an mp3 to play it. That said, it's not friendly to use that way and you are right that there is no obvious music device classification. It would be nice if there is a play list app or some way to be dlna friendly to steam from a local nas?

You can set the volume using the "set volume" command. There ist no need defining it as a music device.
You're right about the "set volume" command when using the rule machine, but no set volume option exists in the "notifications" app that I can see. I try and keep my notifications separate just for organization reasons, but if I need to go the rule machine approach, I can try that. Thanks for the tip.
Check out the "Follow Me" notification app. there is a volume option, and many other nice features to customize notifications.
