I am having some issues with Google home text to speech. I have it set up when a door opens with a contact sensor it tells me the door is open. The problem is the Google homes tend to work about 50% of the time. Sometimes it says the message sometimes it doesn't? Any fix to this?
I always put in an 'initialise' then a delay of a couple of seconds before the notification text as a way of getting round this.
Seems to work for me OK.

I also have a refresh in there which isn't actually necessary.

There is also a user app by @bptworld called 'Chromecast Helper' which can be used.

For the initialize what is the parameter type?
Just leave it blank.
You should then end up with initialise()
