Wondering if there is a way thru Chromecast beta in Hubitat to sync audio across multiple speakers

I have 4 Google home mini located across the house and wish to align them to notify when a perimeter door contact is triggered

It does recognize the speaker groups that have been setup in Google Home. I believe that it use to be able to speak to them and they would sometimes be synchronized.

That said, I just tried it with one of my groups and nothing happened… So not sure if it is actually able to do what you are looking for…

I would recommend you see if your groups can be recognized and if it works for you.

Hi haven't had great luck with groups. Speech has been hit and miss.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had the Google mini in a collective room and not in a speaker group. Hence I was having issues tying them together.

It's too late to test but I have tweaked my broken action in my rule machine code to now speak to my New TTS group.

We'll see how it works out tomorrow morning

Had a couple of bugs pop up. The group speaker setup wasn't responding. I was forced to delete all Google mini devices in Hubitat and rediscover them.

I also went ahead and put all home minis on static IP.

After doing that and adjusting my rule for speaker output to the group speaker, it's working great so far and is synchronized across the house.

I've heard tts tends to be buggy for the Chromecast built in app.

I'll reply back if it starts acting up but so far so good
