I looked for a Buy and Sell catagory but I don't see one?
I have a GoControl thermostat that has a few weeks on it.
I replaced my old Honeywell with this as it was the most reliable/recommended.
Works perfectly but I ordered a new Honeywell as I just didn't "click" with this device.
It's Z-Wave+ with the battery backup.
Probably only a Canadian sale as the shipping is stupid anywhere else.
Paid 135.00 after taxes so looking for about 100.00 or so depending on shipping, I'll make it reasonable.
Thermostat lives in BC.
Cheers
Suggest you hold on to the GoControl a bit. i went Nest, to Go Control, to Honeywell T6 and then back to GoControl. The Honeywell stat i found to be not nearly as reliable and responsive to HE. If you have a 5 wire and are running power from the AC unit to the stat i found the repeater in the GoControl to be excellent, Honeywell - could not get it to activate. Very tricky. You must have power from the AC unit applied from the moment you start the Honeywell stat install or it locks off the repeater. I could never get mine to activate. Gave up and went back to GoControl. PS the GoControl in the US goes for $80 new regularly. Down here in TX and it is 4 degrees - aint supposed to do that here! Love visiting Canada - great people. jj
I want the granularity of 0.5 dergree in C which the GoControl dosen't have. I emailed the vendor twice about a firmware update and crickets.
The 100.00 price is base on CDN so 75ish USD with no taxes/duties (12%++). Up here we rarely get free shipping from any company unless it's Amazon or well over 100.00 so it will seem like I'm looking for a lot. It's 135.00 at Aartech.ca after taxes and that's the cheapest place here.
I understand. Please make sure you have power on the "C" wire before you start to install the Honeywell stat! it only looks once to see if you have power on the C wire during install and then locks it into "battery only mode" forever if you don't, i.e, you cant go back and change it - you have to do a full exclude and reinstall! PITA.
I also found the need to put repeat x times in my therm rules, the Honeywell stat was not consistent - if you have not bought your T6 i have one i can sell you for 50 bucks that has a month on it.
Thanks for the heads up on the C wire.
I had issues with the GoControl not taking single commands as well. I went back to the generic device driver instead ot the Advanced one and things seem to be stable now.
I have already ordered mine but at least I can return it if I am not satified.
We'll see where the rabbit hole leads.
