Is there a way to check the battery level like motion and contact sensors?
I do not believe there is a way to check the level. Just a notice when it needs to be replaced.

@user1628 Yes as long as it is part of the attributes available. You can confirm this through the device page If it's not there and you're using a community driver, ask the author to check if it's available and add it to the driver.
The GoControl garage door openers do not support the Battery command class, so there is no way for a driver to know or report the sensor battery level regardless of which driver is in use. GoControl does send a Notification when the battery needs to be changed however.
