I'm running a C7 with platform version 2.4.3.177. I'm seeing a lot of zwave issues recently and noticed the device below. Sometimes it says GENERIC_TYPE_STATIC_CONTROLLER and other times it will show BASIC_TYPE_END_DEVICE. Am I correct that this is a ghost device? Any recommendations on fixing it? I didn't click the rebuild network option because I've been out of the Hubitat loop for awhile and didn't want to do anything without guidance first. I had an adventure today trying to add some First Alert Zwave smoke alarms and they would never add.
You can try clicking the Remove button, in some cases that will remove the ghost easily and quickly. You might have to hit the Remove button a few times. Just take a few moments between clicks, don't pound on the Remove button repeatedly.
If that doesn't work, you can try restarting the Z-Wave radio (shut down the hub, pull power for 30s, restore power) and then return to the Z-Wave Details page and try the Remove process again. If the device still shows Pending and there is no Remove button after you restart your hub, then hit the Refresh button which should result in the Remove button appearing. It might take a few tries w/the Refresh button to get the Remove button to reappear.
Thanks, that's what I kind of remember but didn't know if there had been any recent changes to procedure. I remember having to use a Zwave stick in the past to manually find and edit out the ghosts and I hope I don't have to dig that stick up and do that again.
I had this problem a couple months ago, and had returned the device to amazon, so I couldn't exclude, had to "beat it with a stick." Now on C8pro and all is well.
