when i ask alexa for the temperature inside the house, alexa will respond and say "the average temperature of the home is xx degrees." i assume this is based on an average of all 5 of my echo dots. is it possible to get access to this average temperature or the temperature of a specific echo so that i can assign it to a variable in rules manager?
edit: i cant pull temps from my nest thermostats since no he integration.
I think the only way that would work is if Amazon exposes that parameter in its API and something like Echo Speaks was able to capture it as an attribute. I'm pretty sure that's not the case. However, there are lots of zigbee and zwave devices that, in addition to their primary function, report temperature. Many motion sensors do. These can easily be integrated into Alexa via HE.
