Generic Zigbee Shade not reporting correct windowShade state when position state reports correctly

Hi all!

I have e-Wand (by Current) blind controller sticks which are paired using the Generic Zigbee Shade driver. I can open and close them fine, but sometimes the "current state" for windowShade doesn't change from "opening" to "open" or from "closing" to "closed" when the function is complete and the position reports 0 (closed) or 100 (open).

I click refresh and this doesn't fix it.

Is there a way to fix this - or alternatively to have a rule to say "look at all the blinds. if position is 0 set "current state" for windowShade to "open". If condition is 100, set "current state" for windowShade to "closed"?

I'm pretty sure this isn't a case of the e-wand not reporting back. Seems more of a case of the driver not updating windowShade - even though it updates position.

Ideas?

Thanks!
Jann

I'll have a look

Thank you so much!

I can deal with Rule Machine not sensing during "opening" and "closing" as it fails to do now (I want blinds opening or closing to open or close curtains on that window) but this one flummoxes me! I need some way to reliably sense blinds opening or closing to trigger opening or closing of my matter curtain rods. And if rule machine can't see opening/closing, and the blinds don't reliably report open/close, then I'm kinds at a loss.

Thanks!

@mike.maxwell ? This was over a year ago and it's still happening. Any ideas?
